I've arranged trek to Kathingad, better known as Tung. There was a dense forest surrounding this fort, which made it difficult to access. This fort is now surrounded by water of Pavana dam on 3 sides. We can clearly see the twin forts Lohagad and Visapur as well as Tikona from this fort. The fort is 8-9 km from Ghusalkhamb which is on Lonavala Amby valley road. There is no public transport available to Tung therefore we need to arrange private transport to the base village. There is a big water tank on the fort however the water is not drinkable hence we need to carry ample supply of water. Tung.
